For individuals considering a full-time education in the entertainment arts, VFS Summer Intensives provide unique opportunities to spend a week inside VFS and experience what our programs offer. The 10 different Summer Intensives are specifically designed to give students the insight needed to make an informed decision about their future education choices.
It's our goal to provide you with an immersive week inside our school and answer any questions you might have about VFS. Under the guidance of our faculty of respected industry professionals, you'll learn in a fast-paced, exciting environment while getting valuable hands-on experience – and having fun!

Not at all!
Class hours are typically 9am to 4pm every day, but some Intensives may run classes until 6 or 7pm. You will receive a full schedule before your Intensive begins. An orientation session will take place at 8am on the first day of your Intensive.
There will also be opportunities to connect one-on-one with VFS Admissions Advisors every day during your program. You'll be able to find out more about VFS, your preferred program, and what it takes to apply and get accepted. In addition, you will have an opportunity to tour VFS campuses with one of our Admissions Advisors.
The Summer Intensive fee includes the full curriculum and materials, lunch every day, a certificate of completion, and a VFS backpack. When you've finished your Intensive, you'll also have some new work to help define your future creative path.
Yes. However, enrollment is subject to normal VFS Admissions processes, including availability, start dates, and class capacity.
We can't offer course credit for Summer Intensives at this time. These courses are specifically designed to provide students with an in-depth look at what you will experience as a student in our full-time programs and therefore do not represent any one specific course credit.

You do not need a study permit to attend a Summer Intensive. You MAY require a visa, though. Please see the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website to determine what you might need. VFS is not able to issue special letters of invitation for Summer Intensives, and it is the applicant's sole responsibility to apply for any required visas or permits before attending a Summer Intensive.

Vancouver is known for its natural beauty and as a great destination for travellers. If you're looking for scenic mountain trails or beautiful beaches, both are accessible from downtown Vancouver by car, transit, and on foot (in some cases). From the popular Robson Street shopping district to world-renowned restaurants, you'll have no trouble finding plenty to see and do outside of Summer Intensive class hours.

As part of your tuition you will receive lunch everyday at the VFS Café. Outside of Summer Intensive class hours, you're free to explore the best of what Vancouver has to offer.
